A group of committed industry professionals specialising in natural energy management for buildings.
At the ADEXSI Group, we firmly believe that occupant comfort should not come at the expense of the planet. In the face of climate challenges, we refuse to accept energy-intensive solutions such as universal air conditioning as inevitable.
Genatis was created to bring this vision to life : a unique, comprehensive offering that brings together the expertise of our subsidiaries to transform natural energies into drivers of performance.

In 2019, we launched the Genatis service, which is shared by the companies Bluetek, Souchier-Boullet and Tellier-Brise-Soleil (all subsidiaries of Adexsi within the Soprema Group) to pool the solutions developed around the controlled use of natural energies to ensure the comfort of building occupants. Le Labo by Genatis has been operational for several years and aims both to optimise the performance of our range of products and services, which we regularly expand, and to test new materials and components on a demonstration building to continuously improve the efficiency of our solutions.
There is a time lag between CO2 emissions and their actual impact on the climate. And climate change is accelerating, since what we’re experiencing today was predicted for 2030-2040 10 years ago.
The industrial revolution is often taken as the starting point for climate change. But what is it? It was a period of flourishing inventiveness that profoundly transformed our daily lives, with the development of mobility solutions (trains, streetcars, subways, cars, airplanes, ships, etc.), the gradual appearance of electricity grids for domestic use and urban lighting. In short, we’ve gone from being communities of cantons to being open to the whole world, thanks to all the inventions that have transformed our daily lives.
Do we need to look back? Complicated if not impossible in an interconnected, interdependent world. We are not going to change the past, but we are responsible for deciding our future. To date, 1.9 billion air conditioners have been installed worldwide, representing 10% of global electricity consumption, which is set to triple by 2050 and account for 1.5 billion tonnes of CO2 per year (source: International Energy Agency). The corollary is the exponential development of urban heat islands. No future without frugality.
So it’s not a question of rejecting all the sources of progress we’ve benefited from over the last 200 years, but of mourning our excesses and returning to common sense. Does it make sense to air-condition offices to 21°C when it’s 35°C outside, and when the medical world agrees that the risk of thermal shock starts at a differential of 7°C? What if polo once again became a standard in hot weather, just as bodywarmers were a hit last winter ?
The situation is urgent. Any progress delayed will undeniably make the situation worse. We can’t count on a magic trick to rewind a part of our history, nor do we want to. The eco-responsible revolution will be a broad spectrum of personal initiatives adopted by the community, just as the industrial revolution brought its benefits only through the general application of individual inventions.
That’s why we develop solutions and systems based on the increased use of natural energies to ensure the comfort of building occupants, with the aim of replacing or, failing that, minimizing the use of the hyper-efficient but less environmentally-friendly equipment that has created this emergency situation.
